Well maintained and looked after. Clean, tidy. Good location. Mix of nationalities.
Maybe it's a litter overcrowded so less people onside would be a positive
Excellent entertainment, great situation. Lovely stay
Cleaner deck area
Friendly Staff, fantastic adult only pool area, large pitch. Good supermarket and restaurants within walking distance. Strianght onto the beach.
On site restaurant was slow on service (more tentative to the filming that was going on) and quite expensive for the food provided. Would be great if the campsite hired sunloungers out for use on the beach.
Well run, clean, friendly staff, location beside the beach and town, bicycle shop and food shop close to the site. Sports grounds are excellent and well run Security presence is very good Chalets are very nice especially with air con. Pool areas are all excellent. Classes- aqua bike and aerobics are brilliant. Other classes are very very good also.
The bar.... Staff are very nice but utterly disorganised. There are not enough of them at peak times. Getting a drink can take up to 20mins!! The prices at the bar are a total rip off- 7 euros for a 125ml glass of white wine!!! A bottle of that wine probably only costs 4 euros at wholesale prices....
Lovely mature campsite nice trees and flowers great access to the beach. Ok takeaway food options
Service in the jardin restaurant was a little poor and one member of staff was rude. The sunlodge prestige etang was lovely to stay in overall but we had difficulty with noise from the neighbouring campsite on two nights until 2am. Most importantly it should be clearly stated that the sunlodge accomodation is a tent as the photos and description do not do enough to highlight this. Also your website states that all your accomodations have air conditioning but on the separate specifications for the sunlodge it does not have air conditioning. We got quite a shock when we arrived and discovered we were staying in a tent as we understood it was a lodge. Overall it was still a good experience
Good pitches with sanitation showers etc
Tree trimming as they scratch the caravans :motorhomes on the riadways
everything you need is there or nearby
shared toilet leave a lot to be desired but that is more down to the other holiday makers rather than the premises but maybe more cleaning visits
Entertainment and activity staff Pools Banana boat activity Paddle tennis Permaculture area Proximity of beach
Restaurant experience (Jardin les Sablons) Food cost
The accommodation is great, the pools are great. The sports facilities are great. It’s right beside the beach, and has all the facilities we needed either onsite or locally.
There’s very little that needs to be improved. An over or air fryer in the accommodation would be handy for cooking a wider variety of meals.
So much! Brilliant staff, facilities, landscaping, sports, the shower, bakery etc. I will include more in a review.
Only minor points really. The kitchen knives were blunt and the blades were loose and coming away from the handles. The microwave didn't have an oven facility like it did last time.
The bakery and Carrefour express store were excellent. Swimming pool decks were very clean throughout the stay. App for participation in activities was excellent. Chalet was nice Two issues with the chalet were handled very fast and efficiently. Thank you.
Slippy showers at the exit from the beach to the campsite. On Tuesday 24th June around 8am I visited the beach with my daughter. There were no anti-slip mats in the area at the time. I slipped and hurt my hand, cut my ankle and bruised my hip off the drainage area in the centre of the shower block. I was very fortunate not to hurt myself further or bang my head. I reported this to reception. While I was happy to see anti-slip mats appear very quickly, this should be been a present at all times More garden maintenance needed between some of the chalets. Lots of weeds and looks very messy in places and badly kept. The bar area of the resort by the stage is extortionately expensive. On our first day 1 REALLY small glass of red wine, 1 blanche beer and 2 sprites cost approx. €22. We could not believe it and therefore we rarely used the bar afterwards. If the drinks were priced more competitively we would have been more inclined to spend MORE money in the bar. This is not very good business sense. Restaurant Le Jardin des Sablons was not good. Overpriced, bad food and terrible service. We used it once and advised some friends not to eat there after our experience.
Direct access to beach. Staff were friendly.
1. Accommodation crammed together 2. Information booth opening hours 2-6 pm are too short. Staff were unable to give even the most basic information about anything outside the campsite eg general hours of opening of restaurants in the region; places to see. This was very unlike any other campsite I visited. Also they didn’t seem know the opening areas of the take away. Overall I had the impression that many staff were young and didn’t have much training or supervision. 3. Pool area was small. 4. The hours of opening of the take away across from the entrance were inconsistent and not advertised. Girls in the Information booth and reception indicated it was 6-10 pm but neither knew that the opening hours changed on Monday- Friday or that no orders - other than for pizza- were taken for at least 15-20 mins before the closing time. The latter wasn’t stated anywhere, even at the take away itself. For two consecutive nights we had no food at all. The pizzas were poor. The manager in the take away was unapologetic that the opening hours were so vague and not known by staff on site. 5. A cashier in the supermarkets asked to inspect my shopping bag when I was at the till. It contained a baguette and when I told her and showed her she wasn’t satisfied and insisted on looking into the bag. It was empty apart from the baguette I purchases next door. I found this shocking. I’m a middle aged respectable woman and this has never ever happened to me before. It was an appalling. She had no clue how inappropriate she was.
It has everything you could want for activities. The pools are amazing and the mini discos every night were lovely. Everything was so clean and well kept. Staff were friendly and helpful
Getting food in the middle of the day - we arrived and couldn't get a proper meal until 6.30. With kids it would have been more convenient to just sit somewhere and get some lunch.
The pitch and private bathroom and fridge were very good. The facilities were top class. All the staff were extremely helpful and courteous. The location of the campsite for the beach, shopping for food and access to restaurants was excellent.
We felt the bar and restaurant were overpriced for beer and locally produced wines.
Several pools, waterslide area, adults-only area (which looked very nice), spa, activities and clubs, sports facilities, bike rental, adjacent bakery and convenience store. Beach access.
A couple of coffee capsules and a bottle of water on arrival would be more useful than the bottle of wine (although it looked nice). Some kitchen/tea towels. Any recommendations for reducing risk of mosquito bites would be appreciated.
Great Pool and activities
Bed quality in the higher end mobilhomes
Great facilities and adult pool. Fab location.
Not that you can do anything but lots of mosquitoes.
High quality of food, service, customer service, cleanliness, variety of activities, accommodation, pools, proximity to beach and canal, number of trees on site.
Very little, it is excellent but communication could be a little better, staff in the restaurant weren't aware of what the online site said was included in half board.
Cleanness, organisation, kindness, facilities
The standard of accommodation and facilities is excellent. Bakery and shop improvements along with the sports area are great.
The bar and dining area are good, but the removal of happy hour is disappointing as is the move to bottled wines only instead of carafes.
Very Nice facilities, toilets and showers. Fine pitches. Cleen space
It is very - very difficult to arrive with a caravan, because there are no possibilti to park in the entrance or outsider on the Road, when you go in for registation
The camp site is superb , there is something for every age group , cleanliness is first class and the staff are very polite and helpful , there’s a good selection of food in the shop and a bakery for fresh bread and croissants every morning , the accommodation was spacious and super clean on our arrival
I think the offering of food in the Resteraunt and takeaway could be improved , I would like to see better vegetarian options and better quality on the food that was served , we only ate from take away and Resteraunt a couple of times and it wasn’t great
Swimming pools Location New restaurant quality of food offer Activities
Not cancelling Padel tournament Stopping people reserving sun loungers but not using them
Good to have a boulangerie and place to order pizzas and snacks and open hors saison, other campings close these facilites hors saison. close to the beach. Mobile home excellent. Good to close road when spectacles are on.
For our mobile home wasnt clear if we could park the car next to it, would be better to put the same number of the mobile home in the parking place so you know which one to park in. When booking it said parking place at the mobile home, but it wasnt directly next to the mobile home for us. Other thing that could be improved was the locker outside to store the beach equipment didn't close properly so we couldn't store anything inside it which was a shame.
It's honestly the best campsite I've ever stayed at. There is something for everyone, the staff are so friendly, facilties are amazing, couldnt ask for more an can't wait to come back
Better Pillows in the mobile homes
The bakery was excellant.
We were garanteed pitch no. Go73 in April this year, paid the entire sum in June. When we arrived on Sept. 16th Go73 was taken. The ladies at the reception said it was a technical mistake, you always had to take the pitch you are given on arrival. Also they were quite snotty about it. We took the much smaller pitch no 72. Also we had the impression that the showers don t work like they should.
Clean, very well maintained Adult only pool Restaurant, good food, good value
Bar prices very expensive, carafes of wine should be available as €18 per 70cl is very expensive To reduce food waste a system of being able to purchase small quantities of store cupboard ingredients would be great. Also how about leaving items like salt and pepper, sugar, salad dressings in the mobiles for guests to use up
Close to beach, close to restaurants and shops. Over 18 pool, lane swimming, covered pool, change from Spar to Carrefour, night access was good. Liked the book lending and kids beach equipment.
BBQ at accommodation, cheaper bike hire,
Clean accommodation, campsite is well maintained friendly staff. Advantages having an adult only pool, excellent amenities bakery, supermarket ,restaurants, takeaway and direct beach access.
Could do with more lights around the camp! Had to use a touch in the evenings
Having been to this campsite since 1996, it’s the proximity to the beach & the facilities which are very good. We have seen so many changes over the years.
None
Friendly staff, good facilities, good pool area, if you have young kids there's lots to do
One incident stands out during our stay.....the was a seminar for the French company Veoli. They were very noisy one night their stay, they were partying in the mobile homes area that they stayed in, until around 4 am , and the security staff were unable to keep them quiet.
Well maintained site, direct beach access
Improvements are made every year which we notice so just continue what you are doing
Lovely location, direct beach access with good sized pitches. Lots to do to just outside of the site and in local towns. Small supermarket and bakery on site. Local water sports and outings bookable through the Sunêlia app. Toilet and shower facilities for pitches large, clean and well-maintained. Lots to do for younger children, daily craft activities for children and adults.
We have visited 2 years before and were very impressed with the evening entertainment. This year we were slightly disappointed with the lack of variety. The evenings were very busy, difficult to get served at the bar or at your table. Children were looking forward to the pool party which was advertised as the 18+ pool, but was in the main pool and not as good as the two years before.
I liked our comfort tent and all that was provided inside, good choice of swimming pools and activities.
Many activities were in French-only and we felt excluded. Restaurant food a la cart wasn’t great. We were hoping to experience French gastronomy, but ended up cooking ourselves.
