Staff excellent. 3 great pools. Acccomadstion comfortable
The toilet at the bar
Everything you need. Friendly staff. Lovely bakery. Simple to use launderette. Lovely swimming pool and surroundings. Good entertainment.
The only thing which I feel is most important is the shower and toilet blocks. Need to be refurbished and not always clean. The toilet in the bar area was very unclean most of the time. For a 5 star resort I would have expected cleaner.
Check in and check out really easy. New food area great. Beach access. Spotless accommodation. Awesome entertainment and staff. They never stop! Great local restaurants within walking distance
Maybe more staff at ice cream/ crepe counter at night. It was very popular and the minimal staff were overwhelmed at times. An option for earlier check in would be nice. 5pm is quite late...
The best accommodation that we have ever stayed in on a campsite. The campsite was so spacious, well later out and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay
Everything you need on site amazing
Pitches are a bit tight
Wonderful facilities, excellent friendly and helpful staff.
When really busy public toilets need more regular cleaning (children not cleaning up after themselves!)
Very clean showers and toilets. Shops close by to purchase groceries. Close to cycle path that runs next to the canal. Good size pitch. Water tap placed close to pitch
Very nice heated pool for plus 18 years.
Clearning of sanitær Can be better. To many mosquitoes.
Great facilities, privacy, plancha. huge choice of onsite activities for all ages, we particularly enjoyed the pools, active wake-up calls, tennis, pétanque and animals. We also enjoyed the onsite boulangerie, shop and bike hire. Loads to do in the area, restaurants, grand Maire, canal du midi, beach, horses, go ape wall walking distance. Great location, airport close by a plus. eco friendly. Friendly staff, and very accommodating. We anre very grateful for the late checkout.
The taos mobile home was very nice and modern but could benefit from more cutlery, bowls and sharper knives and cutting boards please 🙏
The balnéothérapie area was great.
Can’t think of anything.
Kids swimming pool and swimming pool area and activities on stage were amazing.
Better service is requirement especially, for a 5 star camp site. We asked on check out day at reception for golf buggy to bring our luggage from mobile home to entrance of campsite and it was refused. Once our money was received, the customer service was gone, severely dissappointed. Food at pool bar needs to be more efficient, perhaps table service for food (not just drinks) would help, had to wait 1-2 hours for pizza on 2 occassions.
I just love your campsite and I’ve been to quite a few. Your staff are excellent and your service and services are excellent I will definitely will be rebooking. It’s like my second home now.
In my opinion I can’t really think of anything. Maybe the campsite restaurant. The staff were amazing but I think something might’ve happened that night because a few clients didn’t pay and there was a really lingering wait for the food. When are food came it was cold. I offered to pay for my drinks but the waiter wouldn’t accept any money.
Fantastic place to holiday. Entertainment team absolutely amazing
Everything is fantastic.
The site is very clean and tidy. It's well laid out, the planting provide privacy. I enjoy the laned 25m pool in the mornings, my wife & friend enjoy the aqua spin. The bakery is very good, and we often spent the afternoons at the beach.
Whilst I've learnt to use the plancha, they are not as useful as a bbq. Also, very few rentals have an oven, to offer more meal planning options. Some of the parking is a bit tight for larger vehicles.
All the activities , dog friendly, the beach
WiFi is terrible This year weirdly people were more noisy than before in 3 years
Convenience, location
Connectivity. Petit train, connectivity to village, vias for pharmacy etc. plot relocation. Our site this year T006 was between bins and toilet block, and often smelled awful. My parents were given h019 which has no sun facing space from deck. T006 has poor layout issues; storage too high up in kitchen, towel hooks in shower room too high and inaccessible. Shower head in fixed position that sprays directly onto door at 6 foot high in strongest setting. Fuse box in toilet room is in terrible location in middle of wall above toilet roll holder, family hit head multiple times. Light bulb broken and exposed in one bedroom. Noisy at night with wandering groups of teens with speakers congregating by toilet block. Finally, German neighbours in caravan opposite were hitting their children, unacceptable.
I have been travelling to this site for 25 years, the improvements get better each year, although some areas like the bar and park could do with a freshen up, the pool is excellent as always and the accommodation had enough space
Like i mentioned, a freshen up of the bar area and park, from a personal point, some other beers on offer, I could not find and actual usual beer to drink from the tap. The beers on offer are quite particular.
The adults only pool was gd even tho there was some days that people were in without a wristband.private bathroom was gd even tho bathroom was smelly(waste water) maybe, gd pitch size Beach was great tho a long walk in severe heat from our pitch which was probably the furthest point.. Bakery+shop were excellent
Friendliness of staff..quality of cocktails..drinks available on beach..sunbed hogging(towels left all day) lifeguards need to be vigilant+remove them..better lighting around park as being partially sighted there were several hazards..
The pitch with the sanitary block was amazing and good size. Beautiful site with all the trees and bushes lots of things going on. Good locationn. Very clean and well maintained. Good communication before coming etc.
Sad the pools were so small and kids couldn't use the nice adult pool. Maybe it could be from a certain time no kids- kids got bored if the pool too quickly. Far too overcrowded and hot. Also disappointed with the level of noise from other sites we were expecting quiet for 11pm not 13am and it was every night we have left needing another holiday as completely exhausted.
Overall we had an excellent experience, very close to the beach, the accomodation (TAOS Luxe Aspergeraie) was very clean, plancha was a nice touch, great bakery and mini-market, helpful staff. We didn't try the restaurant, just the take away, which was great. Pool area overall very good, suited our needs.
Front of the house staff could remind the guests how to book for activities as part of the check-in process. I couldn't book anything the day before the sessions and found out days later that the system would open 48h before the activity, so several fully booked quite quickly. The biggest pool close 2 lanes for adult swimming during some time which limits a lot the space for the families. A bigger pool area for families with older kids and teens would be nice. Entertainment was very good, but it would be nice if there was a play area nearby to keep the kids distracted while parents can watch the shows. A nice touch would also to have an ice cream parlour onsite!
The permaculture garden and the animals were great, and the staff in that part of the site were very friendly and knowledgeable. The bakery and supermarket were very convenient and good quality, as was the pizzeria. Generally high levels of cleanliness on the site and staff were pleasant and helpful.
The pool facilities are far too small for the size of the campsite. It was totally impossible to actually swim even in the sections designated for swimmers. The activities for children (pony walks, chickens, little farmer etc.) were fully booked so quickly, I spoke to a lot of other people who were very frustrated by that. The main criticism is the extreme noise levels coming from the evening entertainment. There was no mention that there would be loud discos every night, and certainly not that there would be booming music blasting out until midnight every night. That should be made much more clear when booking.
Near the beach. Friendly bar staff.
Loud music every night from either the campsite entertainment or the two clubs opposite the other side of the lake. Better organised bar service. Better cooked food (especially from the main restaurant which was not good at all). Forcing men to wear a particular type of swim shorts in the pools.
The location of the beach and the lady who led the ceramic workshop.
Communication on booking. We were located in a disabled chalet (my daughter has autism) and it was VERY loud from 08:30pm-12pm - this should have been mentioned or made aware on the website when booking, especially for a first-time visitor. On two occasions, the music played highly inappropriate expletives and on one occasion went on beyond 12pm. The accommodation became overrun with ants, there were no mirrors apart from in the bathroom (I had to ask twice) for one. Taxi which I booked via Les Sablons did not show up and Les Sablons were unhelpful when I called asking for assistance about it. Sink in the bathroom leaked. Most entertainment and kids clubs were solely in French which meant we couldn't join in e.g. the quiz. Lack of service on the patio area and bar seemed understaffed. Very poor for a 5*. Have been to lower * campsites in France which were much better.
The playground and included activities were excellent. The laundry was also very good. The fauna around the accommodation was great, really provided privacy for us. We arrived late because of a late flight and it was nice the staff had our keys available.
- The WiFi!! You advertised as a 5 star WiFi but we could not connect. I had planned to work during my stay but this was not possible. The feedback we got from reception was poor ‘it’s a busy time’. If you advertise as 5 star and that WiFi is included it was to be available 24/7. To me it warranted some sort of partial refund. The pools are inadequate. I know we stayed during a busy time but they are just too small. Positive were the friendly and professional lifeguard staff. Food options, perhaps an extended menu on the take away section? It was not clear when I was making my booking that bed sheets and towels were not included, perhaps add a tick box at the point of reservation?
Location beside beach, amount of activity for adults plus adult only pool area.
Service for drinks or coffees is quite slow. The food options could be improved. More padel courts.
offerings for the sports activities, nice and clean beach, friendly staff.
chalet was completely mess and dirty, small pool for the amount of people in there.
Good variation of activities
Maybe little more swimmingpools, but the area where great
Friendly atmosphere with good amenities
Swimming pools - lane swimming is a huge problem at busy times. It takes up half of a swimming pool with a maximum of 10 people seen using it at any one time (once in our 17 day stay). The rest of the time only 4 people were using it with everybody else squashed into half a pool. This pool is the most popular because it is the warmest. Lane swimming should only be at the quietest time between 13:00 and 14:00 or before pool opens to everyone perhaps between 8 and 10. Serious swimmers would be happy with this as there's less chance of people messing around in the lanes and the majority of your guests have more space to enjoy their holiday. It wasn't a problem at the beginning of our holiday but by the 14th July the pool was too busy to have lanes for the minority of your guests. We have been coming for over 20 yrs to Les Sablons and this is an ongoing problem that needs to be solved.
Proximity to beach, Very clean campsite Good supermarket and bakery, a lot of choice. Reception/restaurant/security staff super friendly and helpful
Too many scooters & cars speeding around campsite. Entertainment was all in French at night. Kids clubs also in french. You have other language speaking customers too, I think you should cater for these too. Toilets by the pool unclean and smelly. Some snooker tables, air hockey tables etc near entertainment area would be useful for younger kids in the evening. They are two young to go to the recreation area on their own, while parents watch entertainment. Bar staff quite unfriendly
Lovely atmosphere Friendly staff Lots of activities
More information on how to book activities or what is on each day
Located on beach and close to some restaurants.
This is a 5 star campsite but I question this rating noting many other 5 star sites we have visited. Some units are much too close together. Cars driving all around the site is not ideal with children. Dogs seem free to roam without leads which was very surprising and control of dogs should be enforced. Experience with staff was that they were not so friendly nor welcoming. Kids craft activities are too expensive and should be included given the cost of the campsite units. Kids clubs focus primarily on french speaking children - this should be explained on booking as it is assumed the kids clubs cater for all - again given high price it really needs to be considered! Entertainment was generally poor and too loud to allow conversations during the entertainment. Bar service is very haphazard and extremely slow. Connectivity between the pool and the bar area could be improved to allow people to get a drink and sit beside pool area. Pool toilets are not well maintained and soap was often empty, Lane swimming should not be taking place during high season which sees everyone crammed into half of the pool!! Pitches facilities cabin closes very early.
Friendly and helpful staff, lifeguards are doing a great job, close proximity to beach, nice pools
- Cars driving fast, nobody is controlling the speed ,very loud entertainment of a neighboring camp, impossible to sleep - food options is more “junk food” during the day, the restaurant in the evening is good
Great location on beach. Luxe chalets very good standard. Adult pool very good. Bike hire excellent. Super bakery.
Takeaway food was a very high standard but huge ques as no other food available. Restaurant was closed most of the time. Could really do with more food / restaurant options.
Well maintained and looked after. Clean, tidy. Good location. Mix of nationalities.
Maybe it's a litter overcrowded so less people onside would be a positive
