Sunêlia Le Clos du Rhône
Location and good bread/croissants
Staff helpful with work printout
Toilet facilities constantly dirty and smelly - worse than any campsite we have been on.
Litter around the site not attended to.
Toilet disposal broken - had to wedge open with a rock which was physically dangerous and very unhygienic
Pitches were uneven - no reason for this in soft ground, unless you are just a free aire
No help given to my wife when she needed to use a drier for our bedding which was just left full for 3 hours. Saying it is not your problem is not good enough
Clean and close to the beach
No free WiFi is a very negative point!!!
Some areas looked tired at end of season
Great location, nice pool, proximity to the beach, not expensive
No hand basins in the ladies toilet, basins all in cubicles (except one in the men's area) and there is no soap. Hand san was also empty. Ladies washing area always hidden at the back of the block and hard to locate/get to (through the bushes)
Location is great next to the beach and a shirt walk into town. Bathrooms were clean.
Tent pitches should be different to motor home sites as the grass was all gone on our site which made it very extremely difficult to secure the tent into the ground, and dirt and dust got all over our belongings.
Clean toilets. Location to beach and town. Pool area.
Dusty pitches. Poor shop. Not enough loungers at pool. Stage not connected to bar. Too loud and too long on some nights. Items stolen from our pitch.
The water slides
My wife nearly drowned in the pool as she stepped where it was deeper then she thought and there were no staff in attendance, noone helped her when she called for help, if she hadn't managed to grab something you would have had her dead floating in your pool last Monday. While this was happening I was at the other pool dealing with my son, she ripped the skin off his ankle somewhere in your pool and was bleeding a lot, no staff, no first aid nothing, where were the staff? They were shouting into microphones trying to entertain teenagers like idiots instead of doing the important job, I walked right past them carrying my son (he's big and heavy and was bleeding everywhere) and not one staff offered to help I had to carry him all the way back to the caravan past other staff who did nothing to do my own first aid, only after that did I find out my wife nearly died in the other pool. The whole week were were fighting the mosquitos including a lot of the asian tiger ones which there were no warnings about and my whole family got covered in painful bites, we spend the week covered in anti insect spray and hiding in the caravan, my mosquito trap caught hundreds of them during the week. Twice I paid for internet access and it was absolutely useless it would say strong signal then suddenly stop working, then maybe work for a bit then gone again, like that all week.
Accommodation was lovely. Our vue infinie was perfect and not too close to other cottages. The site was well presented. The snack was ideal and the pool area kept us all entertained for a long time.
There could be a better offering in the shop. More fresh food (fruit and vegetables). Some hand soap on offer in the pool toilets and sanitary blocks.
