at Sunêlia Parc de Fierbois campsite
Fancy getting active, reconnecting with nature or simply enjoying yourself?
At Sunêlia Parc de Fierbois, 100 hectares of forest and greenery become your playground. Start the day with a few stretches beneath the trees, challenge the family to a round of mini-golf, head up into the canopy or get together for a concert. There is no fixed schedule here. You shape your holiday around whatever you feel like doing.
Sports and outdoor activities
Reconnect with yourself beneath the trees
Close your eyes for a moment. Centuries-old trees surround you, birds accompany the start of your day and the forest slowly settles back into its natural rhythm.
In this unspoilt setting, forest yoga offers a genuine opportunity to slow down. Breathe, stretch and simply enjoy a moment in the fresh air.
Want to extend the experience? Book a massage with the campsite practitioner and treat yourself to some time just for you.
The little extra? Starting the day beneath the trees before rejoining the lively holiday atmosphere.
Archery, treetop adventures or trail running: try something new
Prefer something more active? Pull on your trainers and explore the wooded trails with trail running or orienteering. Or test your accuracy on the archery range.
To gain some height, head for the treetop adventure course. For almost 2 hours, make your way through the canopy across 25 obstacles and 4 zip lines, supervised by certified instructors. Balance, personal challenges and thrills come together as you discover the forest from above.
The little extra? Enjoy a fun family adventure among the trees by trying archery together.
Sports activities at your own holiday pace
Want to stay active without leaving the campsite? There are plenty of options:
- a run around the lake to keep moving;
- a game of mini-golf or laser tag with the family;
- a match on the tennis court or multi-sports pitch;
- a game of pétanque that carries on at the boulodrome.
In July and August, there are also late-morning strength-training, aquagym and aquafun sessions. You choose the pace: swim a few lengths, join an impromptu tournament or spend the whole day without planning a thing.
Canoeing, paddleboarding and activities on the lake
Here, the lake becomes your adventure playground. Why not discover Fierbois from the water? Head to the watersports centre and set off across the lake by canoe, kayak or paddleboard. Paddle peacefully through nature or turn the outing into a friendly family challenge. Here again, everyone chooses their own pace.
Make the most of your stay to try fishing. For more action, head to the inflatable structures installed on the lake: climb, jump, slide and see who can stay standing the longest.
A family favourite: going from the calm of a paddleboarding trip to fits of laughter on the inflatable water games, without ever leaving the lake.
When night falls, Fierbois comes alive
After a day in the great outdoors, it is time to enjoy some shared moments. In the height of summer, from Sunday to Friday, evening entertainment brings Sunêlia Parc de Fierbois to life.
- Several times a week, concerts welcome local bands onto the stage. Venask or Juke’n’Box set the tone for an evening of music with family or friends.
- Other evenings feature karaoke, games, entertainment team shows and themed events. Talent Show, Tour du monde de la danse or Starquizz: every evening offers a new reason to get together.
The little extra? There is nothing to plan: simply join in whenever you feel like it… or enjoy the peace and quiet of your accommodation.
Explore the Loire Valley
Set off by bike straight from the campsite
Fancy discovering Touraine in a different way? Hop on your bike straight from the campsite: the Boucle de Jeanne passes directly in front of Sunêlia Parc de Fierbois. This accessible route travels through Sainte-Catherine-de-Fierbois and the countryside around Sainte-Maure-de-Touraine.
- For an accessible ride – La Boucle de Jeanne. Allow around 26 km and 1 hour 30 minutes of cycling. Stop along the way at Sainte-Catherine-de-Fierbois, a village closely linked to the story of Joan of Arc, before continuing towards the Courtineau Valley and its troglodyte Notre-Dame-de-Lorette chapel. With only a gentle elevation gain, this loop combines nature and heritage without turning the ride into a sporting challenge.
- For a more challenging escape – head towards Loches. Fancy cycling a little further? The Tangente Gourmande links Sainte-Catherine-de-Fierbois with Loches over approximately 32 km. The route passes through Le Louroux and its lake and introduces you to several producers and traditional crafts of Southern Touraine before reaching the royal town of Loches.
The little extra? Sunêlia Parc de Fierbois holds the Accueil Vélo label, and an interactive Tourist Office terminal at reception allows you to browse and download routes directly.
Loire Valley châteaux: create your perfect day
A stay in Touraine would not be complete without visiting its châteaux from your campsite. Close to Fierbois, several treasures of the Loire Valley are within easy reach for a day filled with architecture, gardens and some of France's great stories.
Looking for a first discovery? Head to Azay-le-Rideau. Around 25 km from the campsite, Château d'Azay-le-Rideau appears to float on the waters of the Indre. Take time to admire its famous reflection in the water before wandering through the grounds.
Love gardens? Make for Villandry. Around 40 km away, Château de Villandry is as renowned for its architecture as for its remarkable gardens. Its ornamental kitchen garden, decorative gardens and geometric perspectives make it a particularly enjoyable family visit.
For a fairytale day, combine Ussé (38 km) and Chinon (35 km).
Start with Château d'Ussé, associated with the world of Sleeping Beauty, then continue to the Royal Fortress of Chinon. Two very different atmospheres take you, within just a few kilometres, from a fairytale château to a fortress steeped in history.
And if you would like to continue exploring, Chenonceau, Langeais, Loches and Amboise offer plenty more ideas for outings around the campsite.
Our tip: do not try to collect as many châteaux as possible. Choose one or two for the day, take time to explore their gardens and use the journey as an opportunity to stop in a village or visit a local producer. The Loire Valley is as much to be savoured as it is to be visited.
