What you must see at all costs in Catalonia
Catalonia has a remarkable architectural heritage and also sumptuous landscapes! However, there are a few activities that you must do during your stopover in Spain. The first one will of course be to visit the famous FC Barcelona stadium. If you go with your family, your young boys will undoubtedly be won over by the size of this stadium and its very special atmosphere. Be careful, sir, he might want to stay in Catalan soil until the next football match! You can also practice an original activity: paragliding. You go to Berga, a small town at the foot of the Pyrenees. You can also practice many sports and hiking on the 2000km of existing trails, it is a real paradise for nature and outdoor sports lovers! Moreover, if you come to Berga in May or June, think about attending the Patum de Berga, it is a traditional celebration that has been included in UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage of humanity since 2005. This gathering has its origins in the Middle Ages and brings together tens of thousands of people in a very special atmosphere! Motorsport lovers will be able to unwind in Mansera, in the centre called Les Cômes. This is a place where you can rent a 4x4 or a buggy and have fun one afternoon on tracks specially dedicated to these practices. To find some peace and quiet, after your afternoon 4x4 or buggy, go to the incredible Montserrat Abbey. Nestled in the heart of the mountain, it is both impressive from below and seen from the inside. Once in the Abbey you will have a breathtaking view of the landscapes below! This is a place not to be missed! Finally, you can also admire the famous Colònia Güell and its unfinished church. Colònia Güell is an industrial city that was founded at the end of the 19th century. The creator of the city, Güell, wanted to create a pleasant place to live and quite particular, so he asked Gaudí to build a church there. The project was obviously too large and too expensive for Guëll's finances and was stopped in the middle of the construction. Today only the crypt is completed, you can walk through the entrance of the church and walk on the ceiling of the crypt, in the open air. Despite the fact that the work is unfinished, it is a very exceptional building! To make all your visits to Catalonia, do not hesitate to rent a holiday in our Rubina Resort campsite, camping Spain. Located on the Costa Brava, north of Barcelona, it will be an excellent starting point for all your outings on Catalan soil.
