Located between Lubéron, Verdon and Mercantour, in the heart of Haute-Provence, Sunêlia L’Hippocampe welcomes you amongst olive trees and lavender beds. This flourishing park of flowers and trees covers 11 hectares and borders a lake whose banks are inhabited by birds and from which there is a stunning view of the surrounding mountains.
Situated at 430m above sea level, near the small Provençal village of Volonne and the towns of Sisteron, Manosque and Digne-Les-Bains, this lively site is ideal for exploring a beautiful, sunny region before relaxing around the heated swimming pools.

A break in the Lavender country!

Haute-Provence is the ideal setting in which to spend your holidays, with its lavender-filled countryside and little villages like Volonne. This small, picturesque village on the eastern banks of the Durance clinging to a rocky spur is surrounded by beautiful orchard scenery and protected natural sites such as Lubéron and Mercantour. It is great for active holidays with walks, bike rides, canoeing and pedalo outings leaving from the campsite, as well as rock climbing, gliding, equestrian sports, a treetop adventure course, golfing or canyoning. Alternatively, fill your holidays with strolling from village to village exploring traditional markets or admiring the countryside, which attracts visitors from all over the world.

Route Napoléon’s 200th anniversary

Many events are scheduled for this summer both in Volonne and along the Route Napoléon.

This year marks the 200th anniversary of the return of Napoleon I, exiled to the island of Elba, and his decision to return to power.

During his journey, Napoleon travelled northwards, passing the left bank of the River Durance and resting at the small village of Volonne.

Many events are scheduled for this summer both in Volonne and along the Route Napoléon.
